Warren G. Lichtenstein is the Executive Chairman of Steel Partners Holdings L.P.
Mr. Lichtenstein is the CEO and a founder of Steel Partners, and a co-founder of Steel Partners Japan Strategic Fund (Offshore), L.P., a private investment partnership which invested in Japan, and Steel Partners China Access I LP, a private equity partnership which invested in China. He also co-founded Steel Partners II L.P. (“SPII”), a private investment partnership and a wholly owned subsidiary of SPLP, in 1993, a predecessor to Steel Partners Holdings L.P.

Mr. Lichtenstein has served as director of GenCorp Inc., now known as Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings Inc., since March 2008 and executive chairman since 2016. Mr. Lichtenstein served as chairman of the board of Steel Connect, Inc. (formerly known as ModusLink Global Solutions, Inc.), from March 2013 until June 2016, at which time he was appointed Executive Chairman. Mr. Lichtenstein also served as interim CEO of Steel Connect, Inc. from March 2016 to June 2016. He also served as chairman of the board of Handy & Harman Ltd. since July 2005 to October 2017 when it was acquired by Steel Partners Holdings L.P. He served on the board of SL Industries, Inc., where he also was CEO from February 2002 to August 2005, which, in 2016 was acquired by Handy & Harman. From 2010 to February 2017, Mr. Lichtenstein served as a director of Steel Excel, Inc., which was then acquired by Steel Partners Holdings L.P.

Mr. Lichtenstein served as a director of WebFinancial, a consumer and commercial lender, from 1996 to June 2005; as chairman and CEO, from December 1997 to June 2005; and as president, from December 1997 to December 2003.

Prior to the formation of SPII in 1993, Mr. Lichtenstein co-founded Steel Partners, L.P., an investment partnership, in 1990 and co-managed its business and operations. Mr. Lichtenstein has served as a director of more than 30 public companies worldwide including Aydin Corp. (chairman); BKF Capital Group Inc.; CPX Corp. (f/k/aCellPro, Incorporated); ECC International Corporation; Gateway Industries Inc.; KT&G Corporation; Layne Christensen Company; and PLM International, Inc.

Others include Puroflow, Inc.; Saratoga Beverage Group, Inc.; SL Industries, Inc. (chairman and CEO); SP Acquisition Holdings, Inc. (chairman and CEO); Synercom/Alpha Technologies, Inc.; TAB Products Co.; Tandycrafts Inc.; Tech-Sym Corporation; United Industrial Corporation (chairman); and US Diagnostics Labs, Inc.

Prior to founding Steel Partners Mr. Lichtenstein was an acquisition analyst at Ballantrae Partners, L.P. He began his career as an analyst at Para Partners, L.P., a private investment partnership that invested globally.

Mr. Lichtenstein holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
